An easy, no-bake fall treat made with banana, peanut butter, Greek yogurt, and dark chocolate. These frozen chocolate pumpkins are fun to make, naturally sweetened with banana, and perfect for a little Halloween treat! You honestly can’t tell they aren’t ice cream bites!

I’m always looking for fun seasonal treats that don’t require a ton of ingredients or time in the kitchen. And when I came across these adorable silicone pumpkin molds, I knew I wanted to make something chocolatey with them. Frozen Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Pumpkins was the perfect recipe!
These Frozen Peanut Butter Banana Bites combine a few of our favorite ingredients: peanut butter, banana, Greek yogurt, and dark chocolate. The filling is creamy, the chocolate adds a little crunch, and the pumpkin shapes make them extra fun for Halloween. Plus, they’re made with ingredients we usually have in the kitchen, which is always a win.
Why You’ll Love These Frozen Chocolate Pumpkins
- Just six ingredients: Nothing complicated or difficult to find.
- No baking required: All you need is a silicone mold and a freezer.
- Naturally sweet filling: A ripe banana adds sweetness without needing additional sugar.
- A little extra protein: Peanut butter and Greek yogurt make these more filling than a typical chocolate treat.
- Kid-friendly: Little hands can help mash, mix, and spoon the filling into the molds.
Tips for Making the Best Frozen Chocolate Pumpkins
Use a very ripe banana. The riper the banana, the sweeter the filling. Look for one with brown spots for the best flavor.
Keep the chocolate layer thin. A thick chocolate shell can be difficult to bite into straight from the freezer. A thin layer gives you that satisfying chocolate crunch without overwhelming the creamy filling.
Use silicone molds. Silicone makes it much easier to remove the pumpkins without breaking the chocolate. Gently peel the mold away from each pumpkin rather than pushing too hard from the bottom.
Freeze until completely firm. The banana and yogurt filling takes longer to set than the chocolate. Give the pumpkins enough time in the freezer before trying to remove them.
Let them soften slightly before serving. These are best enjoyed after sitting out for a few minutes. The filling becomes a little creamier and the chocolate is easier to bite through.

Can I Make These Without Greek Yogurt?
Absolutely! You can leave out the Greek yogurt for a richer, vegan-friendly, more peanut-butter-forward filling. The texture will be a little denser, but they’ll still taste delicious.
You can also experiment with different nut or seed butters, depending on what your family enjoys.
How to Store Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Bites
Once the pumpkins are completely frozen, remove them from the silicone molds and transfer them to a freezer-safe airtight container.
Place parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking.
For the best flavor and texture, enjoy within 1–2 months.
Because the filling contains banana and yogurt, these will soften as they sit at room temperature. Keep them frozen until you’re ready to serve.

A Fun Halloween Treat to Make With Kids
One of my favorite things about recipes like this is how easy they are to make together. Kids can mash the banana, stir the peanut butter mixture, and help spoon everything into the molds. And, of course, there’s the excitement of popping the finished pumpkins out of the silicone molds!
These little chocolate pumpkins are a fun way to bring some Halloween excitement into the kitchen without needing food coloring, complicated decorations, or a long list of ingredients. And while they’re perfect for October, you can use the same recipe with just about any silicone mold throughout the year.
